- Voluntary Counseling And Testing is a service that is a voluntary activity to carry out an HIV blood test which is preceded by counseling that provides psychological support, information and knowledge of HIV and AIDS, prevents HIV transmission, promotes responsible behavior change, ARV treatment and ensures solving various related problems HIV and AIDS. The focus of this study is on the psychosocial problems experienced by PLWHA in pre and post VCT tests. This study uses a type of qualitative descriptive study where the data obtained at the VCT Police Hospital Ngudi Waluyo Wlingi. The research subjects that the researchers took were patients, counselors, case managers, psychologists, and patient assistants. The method of data collection used was direct observation at the Polyclinic VCT and interviews were semi-structured with open-ended interview techniques openly to research sources. The results of this study are 1.) Psychosocial problems by PLHIV patients in the pre and post-VCT tests have an impact on patients undergoing outpatient care at the VCT Poly, which is related to stigma and discrimination and in compliance with ARV treatment; 2.) Efforts given in providing counseling services to PLHIV patients in psychosocial problems faced both in pre and post VCT tests; 3.) The existence of counseling services provided by the VCT Police from pre-test to post-test 4.) The efforts taken in dealing with psychosocial problems are more about providing support or motivation to peer support groups, especially in the District and town of Blitar.
