- This research was conducted to know the effect of variation of friction time to the tensile strength of welding joints (Friction Welding) Aluminum 6061. This research was done by experimental method using lathe, turn of 1160 rpm and loading 10 kg with variation friction time were 60 seconds, 75 seconds, and 90 seconds. The highest tensile strength was obtained at 90 seconds with a tensile strength of 0.089213417 kN / mm2, and the smallest tensile yield was 75 seconds with a tensile strength of 0.080741532 kN / mm2.
