- Sleep is a fundamental requirement for almost creatures. This is because the complexity of functions, such as restorative function for maintaining physical fitness, function of growth and development. It is also worth noting associated with sleep is about time. In humans, sleep is at night in accordance with natural biological rhythms that run in a natural and synergistic with other physiological functions such as hormones and body temperature fluctuations. When changes ordisruptions in one function it can be expected to cause disturbance in the system that has been awakened and some functions can be blocked or not optimal, including here is memory as part of the cognitive system and that should get a maintenance activity during sleep. The purpose of this study is to examine the effect resulting from changes in circadian sleep schedule to memory. The research method used was a quasi experimental with one group pretest posttest design with five male participants age ranged from 1624 years old. Research is done by conditioning the participant to did not sleep at night or at 22:00 PM 06:00 AM for 3 consecutive days. Measurement of pretest and posttest conducted using Wechsler Memory Scale I. The result is a mean decrease between pretest 100.2 to 96.8 at the posttest. However, from ttest results obtained by value t = 2.493 with a significance value of 0.067.This means that the decrease value do not differ significantly. Nevertheless, the decline in posttest scores occurred in four of five participants, while one other participants did not change, indicates the cycle of sleep that is incompatible with the natural circadian rhythms tended affect the scores memory individually, or different from one individual to the others.
