- This Research discusses about the impacts of the international trade system named WTO (World Trade Organization) and the international financial development system named World Bank on China’s policies for establishing One Belt One Road Project. The Research uses the concept of neorealist view and international system according to Kenneth Waltz who argues that international system can influence the behavior of a state. In addition, this research uses qualitative research with an explanatory approach with data collection based from library research. The results obtained from this research indicate that the policies of establishing the OBOR project by China is a response from critism that aimed at the existing international system. The OBOR project is not directly opposed to the international system, but the OBOR project is alternative choice of solving problem that cannot be solved by the existing international system.
