- Pension era is one thing unavoided from perspective and problems in the eye of pension candidate. In facing pension era, sometimes someone needs to make mature preparation whetherin physical or psychological to face different tomorrow from yesterday. Beside the preparation, the most basic thing needed by pension person is social support, which came from significant others, like spouse, child, and friends, are really influenced somebody to do selfadjustment in facing different environment and activity. Good social support would create good self adjustment, where someone place himself in society, so he/she would be accepted well by society and also in the contrary. The research purpose was to find whether any relation of social support with selfadjustment in pension era. The research used quantitative research method, the variables used were: independent variable (x): social support. Dependent variable (y): selfadjustment, using interval data kind, while scale used were social support scale and selfadjustment scale. Data collection technique was total sampling. Data analysis used was product moment correlation, where the technique used to state correlation or relation between x and y variables and how much the variable x influenced variable y. According to data analysis, there could be concluded that there was significant relation between social support and selfadjustment in pension era, which mean more positive social support, there would be better self adjustment. Effective contribution to the research from determinant coefficient (r2) was 0.398 which means that social support have effective contribution to self adjustment was 39,8%.
