- Motivation plays an important role in the sense of the learning process. It influences every single aspect of doing activities in that notion. In executing events, needs seem to take part by means of synchronizing the fulfillment for supporting students to be self-motivated. Simply, they harmonize their needs in line with what they want as their motivation. Maslow’s Hierarchy of Needs was employed. It comprised physiological needs, security needs, belongingness and love needs, esteem needs, and self-actualization needs. This research presented the formulation of problems those are (1) how are the needs of the seventh-semester student in ELED of UMM? and (2) how are the order needs of the seventh-semester student in ELED of UMM? The expected outcomes referred to how the needs and its orders of students are. In accordance with the research method, the quantitative design was employed. It applied survey research in the sense of research technique which 66 respondents were included and instrumented by a 40-item questionnaire. This research revealed that 37 students (56%) were satisfied with their needs. In doing so, 29 students (44%) were considered having medium satisfaction. Furthermore, it showed that the respondents were mostly satisfied with esteem needs (1701) while they had the lowest score (1589) in physiological needs. This research suggested that students must pay attention to their needs in order to be self-actualized students, i.e. nutrition literacy understanding.
