UJI AKTIVITAS EKSTRAK ETANOL RIMPANG NAMPU (Homalomena occulta) TERHADAP KELARUTAN KALSIUM OKSALAT PADA BATU GINJAL DENGAN METODE TITRIMETRI
Daftar Isi:
- Kidney stone is a disease which stone that located in urinary tract. Nampu (Homalomena occulta) is one of the plants which believed by most people in Madiun to treat the kidney stone by boiling the nampu rhizome with water. This empirical experience should be proven by conducting the activity test of ethanol extract from nampu rhizome against the solubility of calcium oxalate by using titrimetric method. In this study, the extraction was conducted by maceration method. Phytochemical screening was carried out. Semi-permeable membrane was prepared from eggs. Calcium oxalate was synthesized from disodium oxalate and calcium chloride dihydrate. The KMnO4 solution was standardized with the primary standard disodium oxalate. The calcium oxalate solubility activity test used the permanganometric titration method. The test results for solubility of calcium oxalate shown that the higher the concentration used, the higher the solubility of calcium oxalate. The calcium oxalate solubility in ethanol extract of rhizome at concentration of 10.00mg; 20.00mg; 30.00mg; 40.00mg; 50.00 mg were 91.41%; 93.07%; 91.98%; 92.92%; 92.65%, respectively. Ethanol extract of nampu rhizome, potentially, was able to dissolve calcium oxalate in kidney stones.
