- The aimed of this research is to know the target needs of Communication Science students in ESP Speaking Skill. This is qualitative research. The research was conducted on June 2018 at University of Muhammadiyah Malang. Data collection techniques were interview and observation. Interview guide and observation checklist were the instruments of the research. A secretary of Communication Science Department, 3 lecturer of ESP and 13 Communication Science students were as research subjects. The research subject were chosen by snowball sampling. The findings showed that target needs of communication science students covers eighth target needs. The target needs were fulfill Credit of Semester, speaking skill development, self confident improvement, vocabulary improvement, pronunciation improvement, job preparation, scholarship preparation, and presentation preparation in the classroom or workshop. The dominant target needs of the students is fulfill Credit of Semester, then job preparation also be the highest students’ needs.
