  • Project managers always want to find methods that can improve quality and control to deal with the number of activities that tend to increase. To improve the quality of planning and control in the Siniu Pondok Pasantren Al-Khairaat development project, a Project Evaluation and preview Technique (PERT) method was used with a comparison of the Preedence Diagram Method (PDM) method. Planning for optimal project completion time using PERT and PDM methods for 245 days with a total cost of Rp. 8,809,000,000.00 (including contractor profits + 10% VAT). From the results of the calculation of the project completion time target analysis T (d), it shows that the probability of the project being completed within 245 days (normal time) is only 50%. Whereas if the project completion time period is added by 3S (three times the standard deviation), which is 245 + 6.12 days = 252 days, then it is likely that the project will be completed in kerun time 252 days by 87% (safe / not late).
