- Relationship especially in marriage one cannot be apart from conflict and problems because there will always be mistakes made on their partner. To maintain that marriage relationship, it is necessary to forgive the one who make mistakes. There is empathy factors in which it relates to attachment to forgiveness. The purpose of this research is to understand the difference of forgiveness in terms of the adult-attachment style on married couple. This study uses comparative causal approach involving 75 couple with marriage age of 5-10 years in Malang City and using the Transgression-Related Interpesonal Motivations (TRIM) Scale and Adult-Attachment Scale, then analyzed with One Way ANOVA. The result of study showed that there are difference in forgiveness in terms of the adult-attachment style on married couple by significant value of 0.000 < 0.05.
