- This study aims to describe the ability of students' mathematical representation in terms of student’s adversity quotient. The type of this research is descriptive with qualitative approach. The data used in this study is derived from the results of questionnaires and test results of students. While the data sources in this study are students of class VII-A SMP Muhammadiyah 1 Malang. Data taken through questionnaire is used to know the level of adversity quotient of students while the data taken through written test is used to determine the ability of students' mathematical representation. The results showed that: 1) The level of adversity quotient of students of class VII A SMP Muhammadiyah 1 Malang consisted of climber, climber-camper transition, and camper, whereas no students were categorized as quitter 2) The ability of students' climber's good mathematical representation 3) Mathematical student campers can not be said either entirely.
