- Parking lot is a common facility in public places, especially in market area.The Wamanggu market is the biggest market in Merauke regency; therefore, it has become the central point of trade for people in Merauke regency. Along with the development of vehicle and population, the need of adequate parking lot in this regency is increasing. Based on the analysis, the existing parking lot requires more space for at least 14 SRP for cars, and 6 SRP for motor cycles. During maintenance and extra parking lot construction process, the demand for parking area was not fulfilled. Nevertheless, in five years to come there is an estimation that the existing parking area will not be able to accommodate the need. Therefore, this urgent situation must be addressed properly. The road section performance of existing Paulus Nafi road shows the Saturation level (DS) of 0.83 and after the re-construction, by eliminating the vehicles on road’s side, its DS achieved 0.79. The road section performance in the next five years will have an increase on its saturation level as much as 0.89.
