- In every football competition, there is commentators who comment on the match. They have typical language in giving their opinion on it. Football commentator sometimes using same form of language, with the result that show up synonymous. Based on it, the research problems of this study are (1) How are the forms of synonym on the language Piala Presiden 2018 football commentator in Indosiar, (2) How are the root words of synonym on the language Piala Presiden 2018 football commentator in Indosiar, (3) How are the values of feeling on the language Piala Presiden 2018 football commentator in Indosiar. This study employs descriptive qualitative method. The data are in the form of synonym, root word of synonym, values of feeling on the language Piala Presiden 2018 football commentator in Indosiar which is downloaded from YouTube. The data source of this study are word and phrase on the language Piala Presiden 2018 football commentator in Indosiar on February 2018. The technique of data collection is started by transcribing video, identifying the form of synonym, identifying and describing data. The analysis technique is begun by choosing the data, concluding the analysis result, and present the analysis result of synonym on the language Piala Presiden 2018 football commentator in Indosiar on February 2018. Based on the result above, it is concluded that on Piala Presiden 2018 football commentator in Indosiar on February 2018 can be found the form, root word, and value of feeling of synonym. On the form of synonym, it can be found in the form of (1) synonym as noun, (2) synonym as verb, (3) synonym as adjective, (4) synonym as adverb, (5) synonym as noun phrase, (6) synonym as verb phrase, (7) synonym as adjective phrase, other than that on root word of synonym, it can be found in the form of (1) original word and original word and absorption word. The value of feeling, it is found in the form of (1) nice and harsh, (2) nice and nice, and (3) harsh and harsh.
