- This study aims to examine and determine the effect of independent variables, namely ROA, ROE, DER, and firm size on the dependent variable, namely stock returns. This research is associative research. The population in this study is a company listed in the Compass 100 index in 2015-2017. The number of samples from this study is 195 companies. Sampling was done using purposive sampling method. The method of analysis carried out in this study is multiple linear regression analysis using classical assumption test, and hypothesis testing. The results showed that ROA, ROE, DER and firm size had a significant effect on stock returns. Partially ROA, ROE and company size have a significant effect on the positive direction of stock returns, and DER has a significant effect on the negative direction of stock returns.
