  • This study examines the process of social interaction between immigrant communities and local communities in the interaction of building harmonious relationships in Wagom Village, Fakfak, West Papua. The purpose of this study is to describe the process of social interaction that occurs between immigrant communities and local communities in developing social harmonization and factors that enhance social interaction among migrant communities and local communities in the Village of Wagom, Pariwari,,Fak Fak West Papua. This study uses qualitative research methods with descriptive types. The subjects in this study were immigrant communities and local communities. Data collection techniques used in this study are observation, interview, and documentation techniques. While the sampling technique used is Cluster Sampling. While the data analysis techniques in this study include data collection, data reduction, data presentation, and conclusions. The results of the study show that the process of interaction between immigrants and local communities is going well, the interactions that occur in Wagom Village, both local communities and migrants, are intertwined with an interaction process. This can be seen from the process of social interaction between the two communities that show mutual cooperation, such as mutual help, and high respect in responding to differences of opinion and religion in their environment. Factors that influence harmonious relationships between community groups consisting of internal factors consist of: (1) Self awareness as social beings, and (2) External needs and factors consist of: (1) Interrelated attitudes, (2)) Mixed marriages , and (3) Open attitude.
