- The issue of security and confidentiality is one of the important aspects of a message, data, or information. There are many threats from the outside, as well as the threat from within so that endanger the integrity and kerhasiaan the data stored on the storage device (data storage tool). Steps to resolve the issue required a system file with cryptographic algorithm RC4 methods so that the data is kept awake and safe. The RC4 algorithm, one encryption method is fast, but with a popularity algorithm such as occurred the attempt breaks the security gaps and make the algorithm is vulnerable to attack. The vulnerability stems from the permutation initial state (S) which are found many correlations between the secret key and key stream. Research conducted to improve the security of the algorithm is RC4 that is implementing two state tables and initial state factorial. This algorithm is considered more secure than RC4 as it can increase the randomness in KSA. Modification algorithm RC4 make performance slower than standard RC4 algorithm, but in terms of a modified RC4 algorithm security uses two state table and state initials factorial in testing has proven to be more secure and resistant against attacks brute force attack and bit flipiing attack compared to standard RC4 algorithm.
