- Basically, Leader Member Exchange (LMX) is a role quality increasement of the relationship between leader or boss with the employees; moreover, a good relationship will create a belief, positive attitude, satisfaction, and the employees’ loyalty. However, a bad relationship will give the opposite influences. By using the LMX, it can expand the possibility for the employees to have more work motivation to conduct a working. This research aimed at discovering the influence of Leader Member Exchange (LMX) and the work motivation. The measurement tools that used were Multidimensionality of Leader-Member Exchange Scale Development and the MWMS, of which MWMS was The Multidimensional Work Motivation Scale. The sampling technique that used in this research was sampling census, in which there were 114 respondents of PT. Malindo Intitama Raya factory at Bedali village, Lawang district, Malang regency. The data analysis method used simple regression. The research results showed that there was significant positive influence between LMX toward the work motivation. The LMX gave an influence on the work motivation as many as 3,6% (r= 0.191; p = 0.042, r2 = 0,036).
