  • Background: Chronic kidney disease is defined as abnormalities in kidney structure and function, present for 3 month or longer. One of the most caused on chronic kidney disease is hypertension. Hypertension will occur injury in afferent arterioles in blood vessels and filtration decreases. Pharmacological therapy for chronic kidney disease with hypertension one of them with calcium channel blocker (CCB). CCB provides a renoprotective effect as well as vasodilatation in the glomerular arteriol. Objective: The aimed of study was to know the usage patterns of CCB in chronic kidney disease patiens in Dr. Iskak Public Hospital Tulungagung. Method: The study employed observational with descriptive and retrospective design in chronic kidney disease patiens in Dr. Iskak Public Hospital Tulungagung. Result and Conclusion: The usage pattern of single calcium channel blocker was in 24 patients (13%) and a combination was in 164 patients (87%). single calcium channel blocker therapy is widely used Amlodipin with a dose 1x10mg p.o was 15 patient (64%). The most commontly used CCB combination therapy were two kombination was 101 patient (54%) is Amlodipin (1x10mg) p.o and Furosemid (1x40mg) i.v.
