- The purpose of this research is to determine the effect of inflation and production costs on profit margins in the textile and garment industry. The analytical tool used in this research is panel data regression, which is a combination of two time series and cross section data which provides more data to determine the effect of inflation and production costs on profit margin. This research using financial report data for the 2013-2017 period. The calculation of the average profit margin level using Net Profit Margin (NPM) in the Textile and Garment industry that Go Public in the BEI. While the calculation of inflation rate using consumer price index (IHK). Based on the conclusions, it can be concluded that the inflation rate and production costs affect the level of profit margin in the Textile and Garment industry during the 2013-2017 period with a determination coefficient of 85.66%. Partially between the inflation rate and the profit margin level has a significant negative effect and between the level of production costs and profit margin also has a significant negative effect. So that it can imply to obtain a high level of profit margin, the industry must pay more attention to the inflation rate and the production costs used.
