- Red Ginger (Zingiber officinale var Rubrum) is one plant that has a natural antioxidant content. Red ginger rhizome contains chemical compounds such as gingerol substances, shagaol, oleoresin, and essential oils that can neutralize free radicals that can damage cells that cause degenerative diseases. This study aims to determine the antioxidant activity ratio of various dosage forms (extract, filtrate, sari, infus, and decoct) in red ginger (Zingiber officinale var Rubrum) as a biological learning source. This research type is experiment. Analysis of antioxidant activity using DPPH method. Analysis of antioxidant activity was conducted at Chemical Laboratory of University of Muhammadiyah Malang. Results The antioxidant activity was analyzed descriptively quantitatively. The results showed that there were different antioxidant activity of various dosage forms (extract, filtrate, sari, infus, and decoc). The most effective dosage form is found in the extract form with an average value of 94.37 antioxidant activity. Further research results are used as a source of learning in the form of journals.
