  • In the year, the number of vehicles that are increasingly increasing for the four-wheeled type makes the development of parking lots more spacious which can accommodate the increasing number of four wheeled vehicles. Some problems such as vehicle security, the emergence of queues in and out of the parking area with a manual system, then difficulty finding parking spaces that are still empty, and several other problems caused due to the development of increasingly large parking lots. Parking attendants are still widely used in paid parking lots currently placed at the entrance and exit gates as in public parking lots. In the current system the use of parking tickets is still used to record vehicle data using the parking lot. The ticket is also used for outbound vehicles where the parking attendant will do the scanning process to find out when the vehicle enters the parking area then after that the parking usage fee will emerge, then the transaction vehicle user will pay the parking fee to the parking attendant. With increasingly sophisticated image processing technology, it is expected to make it easier for users to get in and out of the parking lot without having to use a ticket and in this study the camera is used as identification of vehicle number plates with Optical character Recognition (OCR) or Image Matching methods used for information on system and processing data obtained using Raspberry Pi. The results of this study use the image matching method to be more accurate in retrieving data and can be compared to between incoming and outgoing data.
