  • This research concerned about the quality of English textbook published by Intan Pariwara. The purpose of the research is to know the quality of English textbook used for the second-grade students at Junior High School 2 Pandaan based on 2013 Curriculum. This research employes a descriptive qualitative design. The object of the research is English textbook published By Intan Pariwara. Checklist textbook evaluation is applied as the instrument of this research. The result of the analysis shows that the textbook published by Intan Pariwara for teaching at Junior High School 2 Pandaan is related to the theories of Mukundan et al (2012). The textbook is suitable with the syllabus with the task made from the simple one to the complex one, the text is interesting and suitable with the 2013 curriculum. There were 2 important things that the researcher found. First, the English textbook published by Intan Pariwara has the relevance between the materials and the curriculum, the accuracy of the material, learning material support, and language appropriateness. Second, the textbook published by Intan Pariwara is very good to be used in the study to have detailed content in the teaching and learning. Yet, the English textbook published by Intan Pariwara is lacking in term of the aspect of diversity insight.
