  • Bottom-up method is applied in a construction of a building that starts from the foundation work of the basement to the uppermost floor based on the plan. Moreover, another method used to construct the bottom structure of a basement is the top-down method. It starts from the ground floor coinciding with the construction of the basement. Meanwhile, dewatering is a work of civic engineering aimed to control the groundwater during construction, especially the construction of a basement. This analysis aimed to figure out the difference between cost and time on the project of bottom structure (basement) construction with bottom-type method and dewatering with top-down method. The initial step in analysing the cost and time was collecting the data image of the planning of top-down method and dewatering construction applied by the owner. The analysis used in the bottom-up method and dewatering were implementation method analysis, work unit analysis, cost analysis, and implementation time analysis. The top-down analysis showed the results of 20 weeks and cost of IDR 45.822.915.714,5. The bottom-up analysis showed the results of 47 weeks and cost of IDR 44.551.852.134,6. The dewatering construction on top-down method obtained the result of 12 months and cost of IDR 1.724.800.550,20. Meanwhile, the dewatering construction on top-down method obtained the result of 12 months and cost of IDR 1.398.965.725,30.
