- Risk behavior in adolescents is increasingly happening. Low self-kontrol of adolescents, allegedly leading to the emergence of risk behavior, but this relationship is possible through sensation seeking variabels in adolescents. The purpose of the study was to determine the effect of self-kontrol on risk behavior in adolescents with the sensation seeking as mediation. The study was conducted on 254 students who were recorded as 8th grade students in the State Middle School in Ngunut Tulungagung District. The instruments used in this study were adapting, scale self kontrol scale (SCS), sensation seeking scale (SSC) and scale of risktaking behavior (RTBS). The results of data analysis using Path analysis method, taken a decision there is the influence of self kontrol variabels on risk behavior (β = 0.505, p-value <0.000), and there is also the effect of self-kontrol variabel on risk behavior, mediating sensation seeking (β = 0.137, p-value <0.013). Because the effect of self-kontrol on risk behavior is directly greater, than the indirect influence of self-kontrol on risk behavior, the role of sensation seeking variabels is partial mediation
