  • Design of tower crane with 10 tons of lifting capacity used for lifting and moving large-scale and limited loads operated in construction process. Recently, tower crane is an effective machine due to the increase of construction. Designing crucial components that receives direct load and designing parts of the components were the concepts in the design. Additionally, the method used for designing tower crane components, e.g., hook, pulley, rope, jib, jib counter, and tower top section were through review of tensile stress, compressive stress, and deflection of the parts. Moreover, the truss used joint method, matrix, and simulation which used inventor software to observe the stress occurred. After reviewing provided data, and calculation of working stress of tower crane components, thus, its result was still under the allowable limits but categorized as secure for working process occurred.
