- Today many family members who are in productive age have jobs where the demands of their work cause them to have to work every day so they have difficulty monitoring children and their parents in this case who are already elderly. This has led to many cases of juvenile delinquency occurring in the community and cases of the lost of the elderly also often occur. One of the main causes of the lost of the elderly is due to dementia. Utilization of the Global Positioning System (GPS) is one way to supervise family members who need supervision. The author wants to develop a surveillance application for family members who utilize the Global Positioning System (GPS) inside an Android phone. The method that I use to monitor is to use the geofence method where this method can monitor an object and will provide a report when the object exceeds the specified geofence limit.
