- The position of the Public Prosecutor and KPK investigators is very important to examine and prosecute corruption cases, although the KPK Investigators and JPU are still very unfortunate because of the weak sanctions imposed on corruptors. The problems studied are: what lies behind the need for a restructuring of the institutionalization of the KPK Public Prosecutor and KPK Investigators and how the future construction of institutionalization of the KPK Public Prosecutor and KPK Investigators. This research method is juridical-normative approach to legislation and primary legal materials and secondary legal materials used including books, journals and related materials. Based on the research, the factors underlying the need for rearrangement of institutionalization of KPK JPUs and KPK Investigators, namely: Juridical factors of confusion in Law Number 31 of 1999 concerning Eradication of Corruption Crimes which have been amended by Law Number 20 of 2001, Psychological factors are the many demands of the KPK JPU that use the lightest punishment, the Sociological Factor, the relationship between the competent institutions in corruption is not harmonious and the construction of the institution of KPK JPU and KPK Investigators in the future. Conclusion of this study first Confusion of the provisions of norms in the Act with variations in sentences raises differences in perceptions of law enforcement second Contrution in the future institutionalization of KPK JPUs and KPK Investigators must be independent and free from any influence of power and there must be checks and balances principles. Suggestions for the discussion that was analyzed first The Act on Corruption Eradication should be revised by considering formal justice in the context of the law second The authority of investigation and prosecution in KPK institutions in collaboration with the Attorney General's Office and the Police should be able to supervise each other between these institutions.
