- Public transportation has supported the activity of people of Banyuwangi. This study aims at finding the tariff compliance with the existing vehicle operating cost in Banyuwangi. Data for this study was achieved from the related institution and direct interview with the vehicle owner and the driver before undergoing the analysis process. The analysis of public transportation tariff and tariff evaluation were done by calculation method based on the Decree of Directorate General of Land Transportation Number: SK.687/AJ.206/DRJD/2002 on the Technical Guidelines for Public Transportation Implementation for Urban Area in A fixed and Proper Route. The result of the study showed that the Transportation Operating Cost for Route L1 reached Rp. 37,357.848/vehicles-year or equal to Rp. 1,237/vehicle-km, L2 reached Rp. 35,233.848/vehicles-year or equal to Rp. 1,103/vehicle-km, L3 reached Rp. 38,642.446 /vehicles-year, or equal to Rp.1.953/vehicle-km, L4 reached Rp.37,469.088/vehicle-year or equal to Rp.1,140/vehicle-km, L5 reached Rp.26,338.212/vehicles-year or equal to Rp.964/vehicles-km, and L7 reached Rp. 35,312.127/vehicles-year or equal to Rp. 1,282 /vehicles-km. The tariff evaluation result showed that the highest tariff for L1 was Rp. 2,440 for public passenger and Rp 976 for student, L2 Rp. 2,406 for public passenger and Rp 962 for student, L3 Rp. 3,148 for public passenger and Rp 1,260 for student, L4 Rp. 2,876 for public passngesr and Rp. 1,150 for student, L5 Rp. 1883 for public passenger and Rp. 753 for student and L7 Rp 2,393 for public passenger and Rp. 957 for student. The tariff is in accordance with the prevailing based on vehicle operating cost.
