- The bridge is one of the essential infrastructures and plays an important role in connecting two areas due to the presence of swamp, river, strait, lakes, roads, and channels. In the rural area, there are many bridges with high risk to be passed. To face the bridge problem, the researcher assumes that the use of cold-formed steel can be a solution. The bridge with a truss system is an ideal form of cold-formed steel because the material is vulnerable to bend caused by thin section. Basically, the truss bridge is a combination of the element that forms a triangle and structured element. In addition, there are numerous examples of a truss bridge, to name Howe truss, Warren Truss, Pratt truss, and K-truss types. In the bridge design, the researcher analyzed the power of steel frame bridge with cold-formed steel for the pedestrian. The bridge was planned to use the deck type truss model with the length 4.3 meters and width 0.9 meters. According to analysis results using Staad-Pro V8i, the maximum deflection of cold-formed steel bridge is 4.727 mm with a total weight 51.066 kg.
