- Communication has a very important role in human life, because by communicating humans can convey messages in the form of thoughts, opinions and feelings. Submission of moral messages from communicators to communicants can not be separated from a medium of communication. Film communication media is considered as one of the effective media to convey moral messages. Films emerge through a long process and time to produce quality works visually and verbally. Films that are based on the reality of everyday life, one of which is A Taxi Drivers. This film is based on a true story set in the 1980s. The consideration of this film is where the representation of the figure of a taxi driver who helps reporters in taking pictures for proof where there has been a rebellion in the area of South Korea. This study uses a qualitative approach while the type of research used is interpretative using semiotic analysis research methods. Based on data obtained with documentation techniques, researchers conducted a semiotic analysis of Roland Barthes to reveal the meaning of denotations, connotations and myths. Based on the results of the film A Taxi Drivers research shows a moral message that is related to fellow human beings. In the form of a helping act, an expression of gratitude, an attitude of heroism, and a sense of empathy for fellow human beings. There is one moral message that relates between humans and God.
