- The existence of online media facilitates the society in getting an information. The online news portal becomes one of information sources that considered as more effective than the previous media. One of the news portals in Indonesia is Tribunnews.com. As the site which occupies the first position on the news portal series of Indonesia, the achievement is not appropriate with the existing quality. It is because there are found various errors in the writing of delivered news. As a result, the researcher is interested to do a study about the implementation of journalism language in the Tribunnews.com. The approach that used in this study was quantitative with the descriptive type. The background of the study was the content analysis. The analysis unit of this study was in the form of sentences. The objects of study were the news in the popular topic at December 3rd, 2018 edition, in which it was about Jakarta’s Demonstration. There were 26 news from 297 sentences that became the objects of study. The category structure used the characteristics of journalism language namely brief, compact, simple, to the point, attractive, and clear. This study was assisted by two coders. The data collection technique that used was documentation, of which documentation was in the form of news transcript. This study used validity and reliability tests. Based on the data coding that conducted by the researcher and the two coders, there were 64%% sentences that categorized as the sentences which implemented the journalism language. That percentage was stated as low. This was indicated that the Tribunnews had not been maximized the use of journalism language in delivering the news. Therefore, the Tribunnews.com journalists should be more professional in implementing the use of journalism language so that the delivered news were easier to be accepted and understood by the readers.
