  • Every person could experience stress, without exception for adolescents who spend most of their time at school could experience academic stress. Academic stress is stressful state that cannot beovercome, experienced by students and related to academic matters. Students given stress management program consists of 5 sessions with various activity, implemented for 3 weeks. Session consists of giving knowledge, practice annd discussion about self-stress, time and emotion management, creating as expressive art therapy and relaxation. This activity intended to test the hypothesis that stress management program could reduce students academic stress. This experimental study using pretest-posttest control group design, with the retrieval and grouping of subjects done randomly. Subjects were 16 high school students, grade 10 & 11 who had moderate to high academic stress scores (score >24). Analysis using gainscore suggested that there is an academic stress decrease in the experimental group, but the decline was not significant compared with the control group.
