- Social change in 1992 was happen when Hugo Chavez Frias and Military made an MBR-200 (Boivarian Revolutionary Movement-200). Chavez made it to celebrate the 200 years of Simon Bolivar (the great warriors in Latin America). This conditions made the writer want to dig more about the role of Venezuela’s military in making the social change in Venezuela under the era of Hugo Chavez. To explain this, the writer used descriptive methodology to do the research within the framework of social change theory; collective behavior, praetorian military that related with professional military. The result of this research since Chavez had been choosen to be the Venezuela President in 1998, social change were happen there and military almost join un every sectors to make the Plan Bolivar success. And Chavez also prove that military is not always in defends and security country sectors. Keyword: social change theory, colletive behaviour, praetorian military .
