- Attractive appearance is an important thing for students college, not only supported by clothing but also use some cosmetic products. If it is not accompanied by good self-control, the use of cosmetics can become excessive and give rise to consumptive behavior. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of self-control on consumer buying consumptive behavior. This study uses a correlational research design. The subjects of this study were 201 students college aged 18-22 as many as using the insidential sampling technique. The instrument in this study uses a scale of self-control scale and consumptive behavior with internet media. Data analysis using simple linear regression test analysis. The results showed that there was an effect of self-control on consumer purchasing behavior of cosmetics on students college. The regression coefficient (r) is -0.246 with a value of p = 0.000 <0.05. This shows that the lower self control, the consumptive behavior of buying cosmetics is higher for students college. The influence of self control consumer purchase behavior on students college is 11.7%. This research is expected by knowing consumptive behavior in students college, especially in purchasing cosmetics, students college can control it by having good self-control.
