  • Psychotic is a form of psychiatric disorder that occurs in someone who is not able to judge reality, it is characterized by hallucinations, understandings and strange and different behaviors like normal people in general. This study focuses on providing social support provided by families to psychotic persons who are still in the social rehabilitation period at the Bina Laras Pasuruan Social Rehabilitation Unit. The aim of this study is to find out the social support given by families to psychotic people. This study uses a qualitative research method with a descriptive type in which the results of research are based on facts in the field. Data collection techniques use observation, structured interviews where researchers conduct interviews with research subjects using interview guidelines and documentation. The subjects in this study are 4 families of clients who visit clients to institutions at least once a month and employees of the institution as informants or complementary client data. Data analysis in this study uses source triangulation. The results obtained from this study are the lack of social support given by families to psychotic people even though families often make visits but they only often provide instrumental support.
