- Natural disasters certainly causes losses to many people, from physical infrastructure damage to the psychological impact of survivor. Along with its development, the form of mutual cooperation in Indonesia is increasingly diverse including volunteering for natural disasters. It takes individuals with high altuistic feelings, willingness and capable ability to become a volunteer. One of the altruistic factors is mood. This research was conducted to determine whether there was an influence of moods on altruistic behavior on volunteers of natural disasters. This research is quantitative and uses a quota sampling method. There are 150 natural disaster volunteers participating. The mood scale used is PANAS (Positive Affect and Negative Affect Scale) and the altruistic behavior scale. The analysis technique used is a simple linear regression test. The results of this study were obtained significantly (sig.) 0.001, so it can be said that there is a significant effect of mood on altruistic behavior. The R square obtained is 7.8%, meaning that there is a contribution from the mood of 7.8% to altruistic behavior.
