- Dam is a building used to hold the water flow rate into reservoir. The Raknamo Dam was built to fulfill the water needs of the people of East Nusa Tenggara, both for their daily needs or as irrigation on agricultural land, so that increasing the agricultural production of the society. Dam can also be used as Hydroelectric Power Plant. Based on the calculations in designing a hollow jet valve that works at a high water pressure of 36 meters from sea level and elevation of 518-482 from a hollow jet valve centre line. The hollow jet valve produces a discharge of 4.66 m3/s with a hydrostatic pressure of 36 kg/m2 and gets an operating load to close the valve 14003.64 kilograms, to open the valve 13907.57 kilograms and gets motor power of 2 HP.
