- This research is motivated by the phenomenon of marriage issues carried out through the ta'aruf process. The research problem formulation is how self disclosure between married couples through the ta'aruf process. This study aims to determine self disclosure between married couples through the ta'aruf process. The study was conducted on 28 October 2018 using qualitative research with descriptive type. Six subjects consisting of 3 married couples were selected intentionally using a purposive sampling technique based on the criteria set by the researchers. The data obtained came from interviews, observation, and documentation. Data analysis techniques used the interactive models of Miles and Hubberman with tests. the validity of data source triangulation data. The researcher focused on the dimensions of self disclosure which is part of the self-disclosure of interpersonal communication from Joseph A Devito, namely the size or amount of self disclosure, valence of self disclosure, intent and purpose, accuracy and honesty and familiarity. The results of this study are associated with the Johari Window Theory of self-disclosure of married couples belonging to two regions, namely open and closed areas. Where open areas are wider than other regions. Self disclosure in this area is built by all the things that are told to others. However, it is undeniable that the couple is also located in a closed area which is quite wide but does not exceed the open area. This area is built by knowledge of oneself but others do not know. They cover personal information about work and organization, etc.
