- This research discusses about comparison of cinematic elements found in Indonesian film "Sweet 20" and Korean film "Miss Granny". The two films were chosen because the researcher wanted to know the similarities and differences in the cinematic elements of Indonesian film "Sweet 20" and Korean film "Miss Granny". This research originated from the interest of researcher related to the cinematic packaging style in the film "Sweet 20" which is a remake of the film "Miss Granny". This research reviews the definitions of Himawan Pratista, which mentions cinematic elements as forming elements of the film with four aspects, namely mise en scene, cinematography, editing and sound. This type of research is quantitative descriptive and uses the content analysis method. Data collection techniques using coding sheets, then for data analysis techniques researchers will be assisted by the coders in the coding process, the collected data will be tested for reliability then analyzed by the content analysis method. Conclusions from the comparison of cinematic elements, found in the mise en scene category, have many similarities that are dominant in the lighting aspect, while the difference lies in the settings, costumes and makeup, and aspects of the actor and movement. In the cinematography category, there are similarities in the camera angle, with differences in distance and camera movement. In the editing category, the similarities is more dominant in the use of cut. Then in the sound category, the similarities are in the aspect of dialogue with differences in the placement of instruments and songs.
