- Lamongan Regency became one of the largest capture fisheries production in East Java with 73,142 tons produced by fishermen in Lamongan district. Brondong village is one of the villages where the majority of the people make a living as fishermen and on average use fishing gear types of cantrang, longline and stretch fishing. The purpose of this study is to determine the income of cantrang fishermen, longline and stretch fishing, and to know the perceptions of fishermen on used fishing gear. The research sample used the stratified random sampling method which was taken using the Slovin formula. Analysis of the data used in this study is income analysis and descriptive analysis. The results of this research are the income earned by fishermen cantrang in 1 time is Rp.562.142 , the income earned by Rawai fishermen in 1 time fishing is Rp. 201.145, the income of stretcher fishermen in 1 time is Rp. 2.657.723. The reason fishermen cantrang using the tools used is according to them even though the risks and consequences faced are heavier but comparable to the results obtained because the results obtained are quite a lot. The reason fishermen Rawai use the tool is because according to them the tools used are types of equipment which are not risky, and the catch includes fish that have high selling points. The reason fishermen are using these tools is because they argue that stretch fishing rods are very safe and effective tools in the removal and types of fish that can also be of high value in the market.
