  • Background: The first three years are a golden period for child development that must be achieved according to milestones. The developmental aspect that needs to be stimulated is gross motor development, one form of which is baby gym because by moving the baby will be more skilled at mastering motor skills. Motor activity that needs stimulation is sitting because it is the first activity in maintaining an upright position by maintaining balance through coordination and muscle strength. Stimulation needs to be given continuously to strengthen connections between nerves and stimulate cell development. Giving stimulation every day influences the ability of the baby to maintain postural control so that it is easier to plan the next pattern of motion. One-week stimulation has less impact on baby's sensory integration because it has not yet reached the adaptive response stage, in contrast to daily stimulation that is able to create movement adaptations so that motor maturation occurs. Methods: The research method used quasi-experimental research with a non-equivalent group design approach. The sampling technique was purposive sampling, there were 25 respondents who were then divided into 2 different groups. Test the final analysis using the Mann-Whitney test using the SPSS application program. Results: The results of data analysis show the value of sig. 2 tailed 0.52, with a value of = 0.05, which indicates that H1 from this study was rejected and H0 was accepted. Conclusion: There is no significant difference in the intervention of the baby gym once a week and every day to the development sitting baby under the age one year in Puskesmas Arjuno Kota Malang
