  • Background : The aging process in women can be marked by the occurrence of pre menopause. Problems that occur during premenopause vary greatly in each woman. Of all the symptoms that occur, disorders of sleep difficulties are one of the main ones that can be caused due to hormonal changes. Continuous sleep disturbance results in changes in the physiology of the body in the form of imbalance in the homeostasis of the body and if it lasts a long time the sympathetic nervous system will be activated by the hypothalamus. Activation of the sympathetic nervous system will result in increased cardiac output and blood pressure will increase. Aim : Knowing the relationship between the quality of sleep and blood pressure in pre-menopausal women in Pandanmulyo Village, Malang Regency. Methods : This study used an observational method with a crossectional approach to retrieving data with purposive sampling and a total sample of 75 respondents. The normality test uses Kolomogorov-smirnof then tests the analysis of relationships with Spearman. The instrument used was PSQI to measure sleep quality and Sphygmomanometer to check blood pressure. Results : There was no significant relationship between the quality of sleep and blood pressure in pre-menopausal women in Pandanmulyo Village, Malang Regency, with a value of p = 0.177 (P> 0.05). Conclusion : There is no correlation between the quality of sleep and blood pressure in pre-menopausal women in Pandanmulyo Village, Malang Regency.
