- Based on the needs analysis conducted on October 27th, 2017 at Girimoyo 02 Elementary School on the learning process particularly, in the science subject the students was not able to master the learning material. The media used in everyday learning are only limited to images/pictures on the worksheets or textbooks. This method elicit the students to be bored. For the reason of the problems previously stated, a solution is needed in the form of media to help the process of learning science that is fun and interactive. This research aims to (1) describe the development of the scrapbook media (2) describe the response of the students (3) describe the feasibility of the scrapbook media. The model used in this research and its development is the Hannafin and Peek model. The process of developing the scrapbook media is structured based on the model which depict efforts in solving learning problems and difficulties experieced by the students. The hannafin Hnd Peek's model has 5 stages, namely: analysis, design, development, implementation and evaluation. The data collection techniques used in the study were interviews, observation, documentation, validation questionnaires. The following are the results of the research conducted (1) the development of scrapbook media which is a media consists of science learning materials about the process of soil formation is made as simple as possible in accordance with the characteristics of the students. And the multimedia is designed and developed attractively and interactively. (2)the student responses can be proven from the results of the percentage of the students who answers yes as much as 96% (3) the media feasibility can be seen from the results of the material compentency validation percentage of 70%, 81% in media compentency. From the results of the evaluation obtained, it is shown that the 5th grade students have the average score of 88>Minimum Passing Grade. Therefore it is concluded that the Scrapbook media is suitable as a media of science learning. Suggestions: To consider the use of media as a teaching and learning material in the learning process and scrapbook media in science learning process for 5th grade students of elementary school.
