- Internet provides a huge opportunity for online self-presentations, especially in social media like Instagram. By using Instagram someone can express themselves including the desired ideal body image, either through words, pictures and video. The flexibility of self-presentation formation is one of the factors toward people self-presentation in cyberspace that are related to his ideal body image.The aim of this study to determine relationship of body image and online self-presentation in adolescents. Methode research is a quantitative approach to correlation with number of subjects were 269 students of SMAN 1 Pringgarata and SMPN 1 Pringgarata and taken by Purposive sampling technique. Methode of data collecting in this study by body image scale and online self-presentation scale. Data analysis using product moment Pearson correlation test. The results showed that there is no correlations between body image and online self-presentation in adolescents (r=0.049; p=0.42; p>0.05). This means that there is no correlations between how individual assessment of their physical appearance with selfpresentation strategies through Instagram.
