- CV. Defix Unggul Jaya is in the city of Malang, East Java, which is engaged in the manufacture of clothing, jackets, shirts, etc. In the production process, making clothes often occurs in workplace accidents which result in injuries caused by inappropriate work processes and manual work. The purpose of this study was to provide an assessment of work posture and provide suggestions for improvements to reduce Musculoskeletal risk levels in convection workers. Risk assessment is carried out using the Job Strain Index (JSI) method and Loding on the Upper Body Assessment (LUBA). In the JSI method there are 6 variables assessed, including the intensity of energy use, duration of energy use, number of attempts per minute, hand position, work speed, and duration of activity per day. While the LUBA method for calculating the value of work posture by giving a score of discomfort relative to the postural classification scheme in each joint motion. The results of this study indicate that the risk level assessment based on the JSI method has several assessments including 1 activity at a low risk level or the job is quite safe, 6 activities pose a risk, and 1 activity is dangerous. While the risk assessment using the LUBA method there are 8 work activities and all of them are in category III so that it needs to be evaluated through making a redesign on the work station or work method.
