- Soap opera in general talk about the lives of everyday people who painted the conflict. Like a drama or a farce, soap opera begins with the introduction of characters who have the character of each. One of the soap that has the characters and unique characters are soap opera Suami-suami Takut Istri. Soap opera Suami-suami Takut Istri tells of the lives of everyday people from housing complex. This soap opera up stories about their husband in the compund who was always afraid of her own, in this case fear if cought teasing sexy widows in their complex. Sitcom soap opera broadcast by Trans TV station everyday Monday through Thursday at 18.00 pm It does look funny to some people, but the controversy was born of this soap opera. This soap opera openly showing different scenes of domestic violence (especially violence againts the husband’s wife. The violence that began from the from of mental terrorism (such as swearing, insulting) to physical violence. In fact, children were joining in did not appreciate his father (like the story of Carla who likes to insult father and his own father). Soap opera was once reprimanded by KPI (Indonesian Broadcasting Commission) because the scenes controvercy and does not educate. The problem in this research is how the housing society Sugar Factory (PG) Takalar of soap opera Suami-suami Takut Istri. The purpose of this study was to dertimine attitudes Housing society Takalar’s sugar Factory of soap opera Suami-suami Takut Istri. Place the object of research in housing complex Sugar Factory Takalar, South Sulawesi. As measured by this study is the attitudes of society that viewed from the aspect of cognitive and affective. Kind of research is quantitative study with descriptive method. Population in this research is Community Housing Sugar Factory Takalar aged between 20-55 years old and watch soap opera Suami-suami Takut Istri. The number of samples taken as many as 70 people. The size of the sample is determined using a sample size calculation Slovin Formula with simple random sampling technique. Data collection technique used was a questionnaire. Data collect throught the distribution of questionnaire and analyzed using descriptive statistics. Technical test data using the reliability test using Cronbach alpha formula and test the validity of the pearson Product Moment Formula. From the research result as a whole can be seen that the attitudes of respondent to the soap opera Suami-suami Takut Istri balance between postive and negative. Positive attitudes of respondents 35 peoples (50%) and negative attitudes of the respondents who are also 35 people (50%), from a total of 70 respondents. Respondents attitudes toward soap opera Suami-suami Takut Istri when viewed from the female sex as much as negative 17 people (44.7%) and positive attitudes as many as 21 people (55.3%) from a total of 38 female respondents. Meanwhile, respondents gender boys who act negatively toward soap opera show Suami-suami Takut Istri of 18 people (56.3%) and the reamining 14 male (43.8%) tended to be postive from a total of 32 respondents.
