- This study aims to determine the act of investigation of children who are perpetrators of crimes of sexual violence; obstacle for investigators in providing legal protection to children who are perpetrators of sexual violence crimes; legal protection efforts for children who are perpetrators of crimes of sexual violence in the investigation process. This type of research used in this research is the empirical legal research that is descriptive qualitative. Primary data was obtained from the Police Malang. Secondary data sourced from documents, books, literature, magazines, internet, legislation relating to the problems examined. Data collection techniques used were interviews and literature study. The author uses qualitative data analysis techniques with interactive models. Based on the results of research and data analysis, it was concluded that the form of action provided by the Batu City Police investigator was to settle the case as soon as possible, in a family atmosphere, with confidential investigations, to obtain legal assistance, carried out by child investigators. Constraints faced by investigators, namely investigators have difficulty finding the whereabouts of the perpetrators, investigators have limited space and time, investigators experience a shortage of personnel, lack of information about my officers, investigators have difficulty getting information from the victims, lack of adequate facilities and infrastructure for investigation. Efforts made by law enforcers (Police) within the framework of legal protection for children who are perpetrators of sexual violence, namely through Police Discretion, Implementation of Diversion.
