  • Introduction: Diabetes Mellitus (DM) is a metabolic disorder caused by various factors, with symptoms of chronic hyperglycaemia (elevated cholesterol levels) and metabolic disorders in carbohydrates, fats and proteins. The hyperglycemia is due to deficiency of insulin hormone secretion, insulin activity or both, deficiency of the glucose transporter, or both. Diabetes mellitus type I is Diabetes mellitus caused by heredity, and Diabetes mellitus type II is Diabetes mellitus caused by life style or lifestyle. Objective: To prove the influence of knowledge relation about oral drug of diabetes mellitus and accuracy in its use in diabetes mellitus patient in some Lowokwaru District Pharmacy, Malang City. Research Methods: This research is an observational analytic study used in the form of questionnaires with sampling is done by accidental sampling method that meets the inclusion and exclusion criteria. This research was analyzed by bivariate analysis method and multivariate analysis. Results and Conclusions: The results of this study indicate that from 100 respondents have a good knowledge as much as 96%, as much as 4% have knowledge of medium, and no one has low knowledge. Respondents who had the right behavior showed that respondent T value was greater than T value of 48 people (78,7%) and 13 people had inappropriate behavior showed T value of respondent smaller than T group value (21,3%). The result of the analysis shows that there is influence of knowledge relationship with the accuracy of the use of diabetes mellitus drug with the value of rhitung bigger than rtabel (0,810> 0,199), and significant level less than α (0,000 <0,050).
