  • Background : Diabetes Mellitus type II characterized by low response of insulin on the tissue with the receptor called insulin resistance. This condition make increased blood glucose levels in plasma.The combination of mangiferin in Mangifera indica (MI) can decreased the level of blood glucose by inhibition of - glucosidase enzim in the digestion of carbohydrates into glucose in intestine and the fiber in Abelmoschus esculentus (AE) can decreased the postprandial rise in blood glucose and digestion carbohydrates for people with diabetes. Objective : The aim of the research is to know the influence of ethanol leaves extract Mangifera indica and squeezed fruit Abelmoschus esculentus also decreased the level of blood glucose in plasma. Method : This study is used experimental with post test only control group design, which is used 36 rats and divided to become 6 group randomly, devide to healthy control, negative control, positive control (with simvastatin dosage 0,18 mg/200g and glibenklamid 0,09 mg/200 g), P1 group (MI 125 mg/kgBB and AE 0,36 ml/200g), P2 group (MI 125 mg/kgBB and AE 0,36 ml/200g), and P3 group (MI 125 mg/kgBB and AE 0,36 ml/200g). Statistical analysis with One way ANOVA. Result and Conclusion : The result show the ethanol Mangifera indica leaves extract and squeezed Abelmoschus esculentus fruit can’t decreased blood glucose level in plasma. Average blood glucose levels in Rattus norvegicus diabetes after given combination Mangifera indica leaves and squeezed Abelmoschus esculentus is 269,5 mg/dL; P2 300 mg/dL; and P3 205,25 mg/dL.
