- Internet and social media become an important elements of every individual, this is to fulfill the needs of actualization, existence and socialization. But the negative impact of the internet and social media is the rampant acts of bullying carried out verbally and carried out with electronic media or known as cyberbullying. One reason for the occurrence of cyberbullying behavior is due to a decrease in psychological control, which functions to regulate behavior in this online social environment called online disinhibition effect. This study aims to determine the relationship between online disinhibition effects with cyberbullying behavior on students. The subjects in this study were 214 Psychology students at the University of Muhammadiyah Malang, in the year 2018, the old ones used social media lama 1 year. This study uses a quantitative approach with purposive sampling technique. Data analysis using product moment. The results showed that there was a very significant positive relationship between online disinhibition effect andcyberbullying with coefficient of r = 0.551, with significance p = 0.000 <0.01.
